Julie Sherr

Julie started out working at the Center quite a while ago – in the Early Childhood Dept as a supervisor for 20 years. But after taking a few years off, she found herself looking to work again. “My kids are grown and out of the house and I find myself with time on my hands to focus on myself for a change.” Staying involved in this community was a no-brainer, “I love how everyone has each other’s backs and looks out for each other. If anyone needs help, community members are the first to jump in and do whatever it is they can to help. Whether its financial, emotional, whatever it takes.”

As Director of the Center’s Women’s Culture Club, Julie is about the same age and circumstances of the women that she is working with – planning enjoyable leisure activities for the women of the community. She loves working with people in a happy environment and, as an upbeat person, she tries to never say no to anyone. “Anything can be done, whatever the members want, I will try to accomplish it.”
