Hillai Govreen is a multi-instrumentalist and composer based in New York. Born and raised in Israel, her love for music was triggered at an early age. She started playing classical piano and ukulele at the age of six. At age 12, she picked up the clarinet and the saxophone, and never put them down! In 2020 she graduated with honors from The New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music, where she studied with Anat Cohen, Chris Cheek, Tony Malaby, Steve Cardines, and Reggie Workman. She is passionate about cultivating a love for music through education.
