Women’s Culture Club
The SCC Women’s Culture Club is a great way to engage in exciting activities, socialize, and broaden your cultural knowledge.
The Women’s Culture Club is open to all women who would like to participate. Although SCC Members enjoy discounted pricing on programs, you do not have to be a member to join in. Join with friends as a fun way to do something new together or take the opportunity to meet new people! The club runs many programs such as:
BOOK CLUB – a monthly program where women will come together to discuss a book they have read together. The Book Club strives to choose books that are rich for discussion and cover interesting and insightful topics. The author or relevant guest speakers are invited when possible.
BROADWAY SHOWS – a group outing to a popular or interesting Broadway show where you can enjoy first-class entertainment with your friends. All planning and tickets are taken care of for you so you can enjoy a stress-free outing.
FILM CLUB – a monthly group viewing of a movie (often at a theater) with a discussion afterwards. The Film Club will choose movies that are of group interest and well suited for discussion.
DAY TRIPS – other day trips and outings include museum tours, guided hikes, walking tours, bike tours, gallery tours, and more. As with our other outings, all planning, snacks, and ticketing is taken care of for you.
OVERNIGHT TRIPS – special overnight trips happen when possible. We strive to create a close and warm environment for all of our women to enjoy a short trip together. Transportation is provided for overnight trips.
NEW! CANASTA CLUB – Join us for the all new Center Canasta Club on Tuesdays at 12 noon starting Oct. 29. Bring your game, bring your partner or come solo.
