Join us for two days of special Yom Hashoah events.

Wednesday, April 23, 7 PM

We will host a commemorative candle lighting ceremony along with a special Centerflix screening of the documentary, Resistance: They Fought Back. The film is about Jewish resistance during the Holocaust and highlights the story of Jewish resistance against the Nazis. Following the screening, there will be a Q&A moderated by Sarah Tawil, docent of the Museum of Jewish Heritage — A Living Memorial to the Holocaust.

Thursday, April 24, 1 PM

The following day, we will be having another commemorative candle lighting ceremony along with a poetry reading. Centerflix will continue its series with a showing of the film, The Last Days. In late 1944, despite impending defeat, the Nazis devoted vast resources to deporting over 425,000 Hungarian Jews. This Oscar-winning documentary, executive produced by Steven Spielberg focuses on the plight of five Hungarian Jews who survived imprisonment in Auschwitz.
