This riveting film, starring Anna Paquin, tells the story of the remarkable and unlikely WWII heroine who saved the lives of 2,500 Jewish children in German-occupied Poland. As a social worker, Irena had access to the Warsaw Ghetto, and at great personal risk, devised extraordinary schemes to sneak the children past Nazi Guards. She was honored in 2007 with a nomination for the Nobel Peace Prize. (1 hr. 35 min.)
