14U HOOPS

The Center’s 14u basketball team took gold at this year’s Maccabi Games in Detroit.

Coached by Harold Sherr, the team’s interior passing, lights-out shooting, and dogged defensive efforts put them over the top in a highly contested gold medal game against Los Angeles.

Chemistry is everything: Many of the players on the team have played together for years – starting years ago in the Center’s Ballers program.

The squad will return next year as Maccabi favorites with hopes of repeating this year’s historic performance.

We’re so proud of the grit and hustle displayed by this year’s BKLYN 16U Maccabi baseball team. They reached the bronze medal game and crushed it off the field with chesed projects, as well. Led by Coach Ezra Sultan and Coach Elliot Zakay, this team is already back in the lab — with their sights firmly on gold.
