Tamir Lifshitz is an Israeli guitarist, composer, and educator based in Brooklyn, NY. Born and raised in Tel Aviv in a musical family, Tamir received a rich musical education from a young age and began learning classical guitar at the age of 7. He graduated with high honors from the Thelma Yellin National High School of the Arts, widely regarded as the premier arts school in Israel.
Tamir is a renowned jazz musician in his homeland of Israel. He has performed at some of the country’s most prestigious jazz venues, including Beit HaAmudim, Shablul Jazz Club, Azor Club, Levontin 7, and more. In 2021, Tamir performed with his band at the international Lotus Jazz Festival in Poland, sharing the stage with some of the world’s most celebrated jazz musicians, such as trumpeter Wynton Marsalis, The Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra, Chris Botti, and others.
